edChunk Training Program Helps People Experiencing Homelessness Find Stable Housing

Working with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, this month edChunk completed an online training curriculum for Housing Stabilization Services.

For people experiencing homelessness, lack of stable housing affects their health. Minnesota's Housing Stabilization Services is the first program in the United States to use this recently Medicaid approved service to pay for housing-related services.

Partnering with Minnesota DHS, edChunk built an online certification program in 3 parts:

  • Assessment of a Person's Needs -Eligibility
  • Find Me a Home - Transitioning Services
  • Keep Me in My Home - Sustaining Services

We are very proud of Joseph Voelbel, Maya Niece and Maud Grauer, instructional designers who researched, wrote and authored this certification training. We are also thankful to work with Mark Caldwell, Laura Fox and other diligent and dedicated Minnesota DHS staff in the creation of the program.

While we strive to make an impact with all training materials we create, we are particularly proud of this program and have high hopes that this program will assist to address issues of homelessness in our state.
